SPR is Stanford’s independent student-led journal on political affairs, and we are looking for submissions to feature on our site. We welcome a wide range of topics, including (but not limited to): U.S. and international politics, public policy and governance, social movements and justice, political theory and philosophy, and technology, economics, and society.

Submissions should fall under one of our six sections:
World
– Focusing on international affairs and ongoing geopolitical trends across the globe. We welcome perspectives that contribute to objective reasoning and thoughtful, respectful discourse.
U.S. – SPR’s domestic section will cover current political events and issues in the U.S., delving deeper into their meaning, their relation to the past, and implications for the future.
Economy – This section is everything finance, focused on economic impacts and implications in the U.S. and around the world.
Tech & Democracy – How does innovation play a role in society? What role does government play in this? This STEM-oriented section will aim to answer questions like this, as well as cover views on technology, Silicon Valley, and why it matters in the U.S. and across the world.
Creative Currents – This section showcases the convergence between creativity and politics, highlighting how art, literature, and cultural expression shape and challenge political ideas both domestically and abroad.
Social Justice & Law – This section covers social movements, civil rights issues, and the constitutionality of institutions.
