The Stanford Political Review (SPR) is a student-run, independent journal dedicated to fostering dynamic, collaborative, and diverse political discourse across campus. Re-established in 2025, the SPR remains nonpartisan and unaffiliated with any political party.

Editors, writers, photographers, and all contributors to the journal adhere to agreed-upon journalistic standards set forth by the inaugural cohort of editors at the SPR. Content featured by the SPR is derived entirely from Stanford students with the exception of Issue Guides, which is an opportunity open to students from any university.

The founders envisioned a platform that provided Stanford students the opportunity to become civically engaged, politically knowledgeable, and part of a community devoted to representing a diversity of ideologies. Editors of the journal convene weekly to apply unique journalistic methods to current political topics while routinely editing submissions from contributors.

The Stanford Political Review offers several sections, each spearheaded by a designated Senior Editor, including U.S., World, Tech and Democracy, Social Justice and Law, and Creative Currents.

Submissions are open to Stanford undergraduates, graduates, and affiliates. To send a submission, please fill out this form
